thank you God

thank you so...so...much

thank you God for everything
for the sun that rises every morning
for the moon that glows to brighten the night
and the brilliance of stars that give us their light

thank you God for everyone
the moments of laughter, the memories of fun
for the friends that share in our joy and our sorrow
and the hope that they give us to live till tomorrow

thank you God for peace and love
for the blessings You shower from heaven above
for the colours in autumn and flowers of spring
and the cute cuddly puppies and birdies that sing

thank you God for the miracle of life
for the strength that you give us through troubles and strife
for the purity of babies and innocence of a child
and the animals You created that thrive in the wild

thank you God for the gifts You have given
for the music and poems that have yet to be written
for the songs we can sing and the stories we read
and the history of wisdom and warnings to heed

thank you God for all your creation
for the glory of love and gift of salvation
for the comfort and shelter found always in You
let the whole world know that they may thank You too
